Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a 20-year-old woman critically injured in Northgate neighborhood.
At approximately 11:11 p.m., dispatch received reports of a shooting in the 12500 block of Aurora Avenue North.
Police arrived and found a 20-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived. Medics transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
The investigation revealed that there was an altercation between the victim and a man at a nearby hotel. The two parties separated, and both left the location.
The victim was later on the street in the 12500 block of Aurora Avenue North when the man pulled up in a black SUV and shot her before leaving the scene westbound on North 127th Street.
The suspect is currently not in custody.
Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
