At 1004 hours, there was a traffic collision at 15th Ave NE & NE 40th St. One of the vehicles involved started to leak an unknown substance from the back of the work van. SFD Hazmat responded to the scene and closed down 15th Ave NE between Campus Pkwy NE & NE Pacific St. SFD Hazmat crew determined the substance was not hazardous and cleared the scene. The two vehicles involved were towed from the scene. There were no reported injuries to the drivers.

At 1400 hours, after conducting a long investigation and multiple search warrants, retail theft detectives and West Precinct Officers arrested a suspect for trafficking stolen Property 1st Degree at 12th and Jackson. At the time of the arrest the suspect was in possession of hundreds of dollars of stolen meat and other clearly stolen merchandise. The suspect was medically declined and was transported to HMC to receive treatment. The suspect was eventually booked by 3rd Watch Officers.
