A man and woman were robbed at gunpoint just after midnight on Capitol Hill. At approximately 12:32 a.m. this morning a 32-year-old man and his 31 year old female acquaintance were walking near 14th Avenue and East Howell Street when two suspects approached them. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victims, made a deadly threat and demanded their property. The suspects took the victims’ valuables and fled. The victims were not injured.
Responding officers conducted an extensive area search with the assistance of canine units however, the suspects were not located. At least one of the suspects was armed with a black handgun.
The suspect descriptions are as follows:
Suspect #1: black male, 6 feet tall, 20’s, muscular build, oval face with pockmarks.
Suspect #2: black male, over 6 feet tall, 20’s, very muscular build, wearing all black clothing.
This remains an active and on-going investigation.
UPDATE: Suspect#2 is in custody — arrested in West Seattle in an attempted armed robbery (see post above).
Suspect #1 is still at large.
