Seattle police are investigating after a man was shot in the 1600 block of 4th Avenue around 3:45 PM. Officers located the adult male victim on a stairwell inside an entrance to the Westlake Center. Officers performed CPR on the victim until they were relieved by the Seattle Fire Department.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center, with life-threatening injuries. The suspect reportedly fled the scene.
Officers are still searching the area and investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
Detectives from the Homicide Unit and Gang Unit responded and will be handling the follow up investigation.
