#2021-071827/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 03-25-2021 at 0003 hours, officers were initially dispatched to a physical disturbance at the Dicks Drive In. While officers were en route to the call it was updated that shots were fired, with the suspects leaving in SUV. Primary officers arrived on scene while other officers searched for the fleeing vehicle occupied by 3 suspects. On scene officers developed probable cause for the vehicle/3 suspects as other officers located the suspect vehicle driving away from the scene. Officers stopped the suspect vehicle and detained the 3 occupants. Two victims and one witness were individually driven to the suspects’ location and positively identified all 3 suspects from the vehicle. All suspects were transported to the North Precinct, two were released while the third was booked for felony assault. Suspect vehicle was impounded to vehicle processing for pending search warrant service. Gun Violence Reduction Team arrived on scene and will conduct follow up investigations. 2 handcuff discomfort complaints were completed.
#2021-064718/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On March 22nd a bulletin was published by Bias Crimes Detective Wareing. The following information was published – the suspect is believed to be instigating traffic incidents with Asian women in the South Precinct. He used his vehicle to block the victims in their vehicle and then leapt from his car and shouted at the women, referring to their race. The suspect drives a 2016 Chevrolet Sonic. Social media posts indicate there may be more than the two reported incidents. The suspect has a history of erratic behavior and mental health problems. Please notify of me of any similar incidents you may be aware of, or which occur in the next days as I develop these cases. Once probable caused was developed several units offered assistance in arresting the suspect. Today the suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail on three counts of Investigation of Malicious Harassment (Hate Crime).
#2021-072984/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 03-25-2021 at 2225 hours, officers responded to a DOC office located in the South Precinct for a report of property damage. Officers learned that six DOC vehicle tires were slashed on a total of two vehicles the night prior.
