Officers arrested a warrant suspect and seized a gun and more than 100 rounds of ammunition on Monday evening in Interbay.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., police found and arrested a suspect with a domestic violence-related felony warrant in the 1500 block of Alaskan Way West. He was wanted for crimes including unlawful imprisonment, hit and run, assault and property damage.
When he was arrested, the man had a loaded handgun in his pocket. He was also carrying extra ammunition in a box and a plastic baggie in his cargo shorts pockets — a total of 110 rounds. The 26-year-old suspect is a convicted felon, making it unlawful for him to possess a gun or ammunition. He was booked into the King County Jail for his warrant and unlawful possession of a firearm.
