#2023-004036/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 01-05-2022 at 0520 hours, officers responded with Seattle Fire to a report of a car fire in Discovery Park. The vehicle, located in a remote parking lot, appeared to be deliberately set ablaze. The remains of the vehicle were towed away. Screened with SPD’s ABS.
#2023-004144/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0900 hours, officers were called to a hotel about patrons who used a stolen credit card to book a room. Prior to officers’ arrival, hotel staff attempted to trespass the occupants and entered the room. They located a large amount of fentanyl pills and a loaded firearm. Patrol responded, called the occupants from the room due to weapons concerns, and both were taken into custody. Officers located a large amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine directly below the suspect’s hotel room in the bushes. A firearm was also recovered from the bushes. ABS K9 respond to locate the outstanding magazine. The suspect consented to recovering an additional firearm from his vehicle. Detectives responded to interview the suspect who was DOC active. Male booked for UPFA and VUCSA, female booked for VUCSA. Officers recovered the following: 2 handguns, 765.7 grams of fentanyl, 78.8 grams of methamphetamine, 37 grams crack cocaine, 346 grams marijuana, and over $2000 in cash.
#2023-004721/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1932 hours, officers responded to a shooting call at 31 AV and E Columbia St. Officers located a vigil that had approximately 30 people on scene. An unknown subject pulled a firearm and shot multiple rounds in the area causing several people to disperse. While officers were trying to investigate the shooting, there was a confrontational female. Officers placed this subject in handcuffs, and the subject spit in an officer’s face. The subject was placed under arrest for Assault-3 and booked into KCJ. Officers located evidence of a shooting.
