Police are investigating a shooting that killed one person in the Leschi neighborhood Saturday morning.
At approximately 5:00 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a 911 call about a person shot in the 800 block of Lakeside Avenue South.
When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive female inside a residence and attempted life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, the 39-year-old victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Members of the Crime Scene Investigations Unit were called to the scene alongside Homicide detectives who will lead the investigation.
