A 40-year-old male is deceased, and a 38-year-old male is in custody after police responded to a shooting in the Beacon Hill neighborhood Monday morning.
Shortly before 5:30 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of male shot in the 6200 block of Gould Avenue South. Officers arrived at a residence and located a deceased male with a gunshot wound.
A suspect was identified, taken into custody and will be booked into King County Jail.
Homicide detectives, along with members of the Crime Scene Investigation unit, responded to the scene. The Homicide unit will be leading the investigation.
This in an on-going homicide investigation. Detectives are gathering evidence to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the shooting. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
