#2024-204671/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0329 hours, officers responded to the 9200 block of 2 Av Sw, where someone called regarding a man that reportedly rode a scooter up to a Fire Engine, entered it, and drove away in it, lights and sirens activated, looking not at all like a firefighter while he did so. Upon arrival, firefighters provided probable cause that their rig had been stolen. However, the suspect failed to deactivate the parking brake, and was only able to make it around the corner, where officers placed him under arrest for Auto Theft. He was booked into KCJ, and SFD got their truck back.
#2024-204680/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0340 hours, our victims were inside the Seattle Center Playground when they were approached by a group of approximately 15 suspects. The suspects initially taunted them before leaving and then quickly returning. When they returned the group of suspects charged at, brandished weapons, and assaulted our victims. While this was occurring, the suspects took two phones off of our victims and then discarded them in nearby bushes. The suspects then fled the area in unknown directions.
#2024-204669/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0319 hours, Officers responded to the 9200 BLK of Fauntleroy Wy SW for a possible water rescue. The COMPLAINANT stated that he was at his residence and heard a male voice screaming for assistance in the water just west of his private beach. The COMP stated that he also heard splashing and choking sounds. The COMP went to the beach to check but didn’t see anything. SPD officers responded and SFD deployed their boats. Air support was requested, but they weren’t in service. The Coast Guard was requested too. SFD didn’t locate anyone but did recover some female clothes. 231 was notified about the incident.
#2024-205633/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2212 hours, while conducting proactive patrol on Aurora, CRG Officers observed two vehicles driving recklessly. Officers attempted to stop one of the vehicles and it eluded them. Officers found them again and contacted both vehicles and detained the four individuals associated with the vehicles. Five firearms were visible inside the vehicles. Two individuals were arrested for firearms violations and eluding. The other two were released from the scene awaiting CBOs for misdemeanor charges. The vehicles were towed to the VPR awaiting warrants.
#2024-205658/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2236 hours, uniformed Ofcs. working directed patrol observed a subject trespassing and engaging in narcotics use activity. The Ofcs contacted the subject. The subject was uncooperative. The subject forcefully pushed the contact Ofc to the ground and ran away resulting in a foot pursuit. The Ofcs were able to quickly take the subject into custody. The Ofc that was pushed sustained minor abrasions to their right hand and pain to their left elbow. The second Ofc sustained minor abrasions while taking the subject into custody after the foot pursuit. Both Ofcs only required first aid. Employee injury reports were completed. The subject was booked for assault 3. Records show that the subject has a history of assaultive behavior toward Ofcs. A Hazard Report was completed. 223 was notified.
