Masked Auto Thieves Arrested Stealing Classic Car in South Seattle

Seattle police officers arrested two masked auto thieves stealing a classic car in South Seattle September 28th.

At 6:53 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of two men pushing a stolen vehicle down the 4700 block of South Findlay Street.

Police located and arrested one of the suspects for Theft of a Motor Vehicle. They located the second suspect hiding in a nearby backyard.

The man ran from officers initiating a foot pursuit though an alleyway. He took a fighting stance as two policemen approached him, and resisted arrest while being handcuffed. 

This suspect was arrested for Obstructing a Public Officer, Resisting Arrest, and a felony warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.

The 1959 Blue Ford Fairlane was returned to its owner. Both suspects, 27 and 28-years old, were booked into King County Jail (KCJ).

Detectives in the General Investigations Unit and the Homicide & Assault Unit were assigned to this case.
