#2024-307605/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0252 hours, officers were dispatched to the 500 BLK of Pine St to investigate a reported Commercial Burglary. Callers reported that a white panel van had backed into the department store and appeared to be burglarizing the business. When Officers arrived, the van had already fled the scene. Initially It was unclear if the burglary was successful, however during the investigation it was discovered that the suspects did not successfully made entry or steal any property. An extensive area check was conducted; however, the suspects were not located.

#2024-308011/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1300 hours, West Precinct conducted a directed patrol operation to support Downtown Activation Team (DAT) efforts in the area of 12 Ave S / S Jackson St. Uniformed patrol officers provided high visibility support to a multitude of city agencies while they conducted critical work addressing a large scope of issues in Little Saigon. These efforts were further supported by proactive patrols from SPD bike and patrol officers, as well as KCSO mountain bike units. The SPD Traffic Unit played a crucial role by providing traffic control for the safety of SDOT and Parks workers. CRG conducted a simultaneous operation which yielded several arrests. While installing a street sign an SDOT worker fell from a ladder and was caught by a nearby SPD officer, who prevented the worker from sustaining serious injury. The officer was struck by a falling ladder and sustained a minor injury. SFD responded to the scene and the officer was treated at HMC. During an operational period of six hours, officers made at total of ten arrests for a variety of offenses. A/Captain Ward, Captain Brown, and Lt. Carullo were on scene during the operation.  

#2024-308503/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2322 hours, SW Patrol responded to a call coming out as a drive by shooting with shots still being fired in the 500 block of S Concord St with multiple involved parties. Police arrived quickly and located a static scene at 5th/ S Concord St., where shell casings were recovered. No suspects remained on scene and no victims were located. The Suspect vehicle is described as a silver sedan that arrived at the location, no further information. GVRU Was notified of the incident.
