Seattle police detectives are investigating a residential burglary from Thursday, Feb. 19th that resulted in theft of approximately $130,000 in personal property.
At 12:40 p.m., officer responded to the 900 block of West McGraw Street for a report of a burglary.
The victim returned home around 3:30 p.m. and found a package at her front door and the door wide open. Officers observed damage to the front door and lock. Papers were scattered across the floor, and drawers had been opened.
Officers investigated and determined the suspect entered the home and stole high-end purses, jewelry, and other property. They processed the scene and collected evidence.
Police checked records for similar burglaries or thefts in the area during the same time frame but did not find any related incidents. Detectives are still investigating whether this was a targeted break-in.
Seattle Police Department General Investigation Unit will be leading the investigation.
