Detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that left one adult male deceased and three additional people injured near Belltown neighborhood.
Shortly after 12:42 a.m., dispatch received reports of two shooting victims, one in the 300 block of Denny Way and the other in the 300 block of Clay Street.
Officers arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest and another man suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived. Both men were transported to Harborview Medical Center (HMC). The man located in the 300 Denny Way was transported in critical condition. Despite life-saving efforts, he died at the hospital. The other man was transported in serious condition.
Later, two additional adult gunshot victims, a man and a woman, walked into Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
With the assistance of Real Time Crime Center (RTCC), the investigation revealed that an altercation involving three people occurred on the street shortly before the shooting.
Homicide Unit and Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives responded to the scene.
Homicide Unit detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
