The Seattle Police Department and the Community Assisted Response and Engagement (CARE) department are pleased to confirm that, after extensive preparation, on October 1, 2026, CARE will assume from SPD direct responsibility for responding to all public disclosure requests (PDRs) and legal process (subpoena duces tecum) for 911 audio, radio, and CAD records.
All current CARE related PDRs that were submitted to SPD prior to October 1st will continue to be processed by SPD until completion. Requests submitted after October 1, 2026, for 911 audio, radio, and CAD requests should be submitted directly to CARE via the link below.
