On 09/12/2026 at 5:36 p.m., dispatch received reports of a suspicious package left unattended inside a cannabis shop. The caller reported that an unidentified male entered the shop, placed a backpack on the ground before exiting and departing in an unknown direction. The backpack was then carried and placed outside by a staff member. Police arrived, cordoned and evacuated the scene and initiated investigations. It was discovered that the unidentified male found the backpack outside and considered that it may have belonged to a customer. The unidentified male entered the shop, asked the caller if the backpack belonged to him, the caller told him no. The unidentified male then placed the bag on the floor and left. The backpack was then examined and found to contain clothing.
