Detectives are investigating after a car crashed into an oncoming traffic along the northbound lanes of the viaduct early Friday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the collision just after 2:30 AM when a car was apparently traveling south in the northbound lanes. It appears the car struck a motorcycle throwing the 55-year-old cyclist off their bike causing life-threatening injuries. The rider was rushed to Harborview Medical Center where they remain at this time. Detectives are working to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in this collision.
Drivers are asked to be patient as we work to open the road opened quickly.
