Detectives are looking for additional leads in a case where a man was beaten and robbed by a group of suspects in the 1500 block of 3 Ave at 10:30 PM last Tuesday night.
The victim declined to give a woman who approached him a cigarette and that’s when he was approached by a group of black males in their 20s to 30s wearing dark clothing. One of the suspects punched the victim in the face and knocked him to the ground causing him to lose consciousness. While on the ground, a second suspect started punching the victim in the face and kicking him. The suspect also removed the victim’s wallet from his back pants pocket.
Medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
SPD detectives have obtained security video of the fight, but are asking anyone else who may have witnessed the incident or who recognize anyone in the video, to call the Robbery Unit at (206) 684-5535.
