Detectives Seek to ID Man in Ballard Stabbing Investigation

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man in connection with a stabbing in Ballard last Friday, after detectives found surveillance footage of the man urinating on an animal hospital near the scene.

Around 10 PM, police received a report that a man had been stabbed in the 600 block of Northwest 45th Street. The victim of the stabbing had reportedly confronted another man, who was seen slashing the tires of several vehicles in the area.

During the confrontation, the 34-year-old victim was stabbed in the chest. The suspect fled the scene and the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police later obtained surveillance footage from a nearby animal hospital, showing a man urinating on the building. Detectives consider him a person of interest and would like to speak with him about the stabbing.
