On October 6th at 3 AM a North Precinct officer was responding to a burglary in progress call with full emergency equipment. His vehicle broke traction on extremely slippery roadways and he collided with a light pole on the Southwest corner of NW 65th Street and 15th Avenue NW. The officer was immediately attended to by another North Precinct officer.
SFD medics responded and removed the vehicle door and extricated the injured officer. The officer was transported to Harborview Medical Center via aid car for non-life threatening injuries.
