On October 12th at approximately 2:05 A.M. officers responded to the 13200 block of 35th Avenue NE to effect a probable cause arrest requested by another police agency for an assault that occurred earlier in the evening. Upon approach to the residence the uniformed and verbally identified officers were summoned into the suspect’s residence. The suspect then backed away from the front door and brandished a shotgun. Both officers took cover and called for backup. Additional responding officers set up containment. The 38-year-old male suspect surrendered to officers without further incident. Officers recovered the shotgun and booked the suspect into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
