Two burglars arrested after foot chase

On November 15 at approximately 12:48 P.M. officers responded to the report of a home burglary in the 7900 block of 39 Avenue S. A witness saw two suspects casing the victim’s house and looking in the windows. Then one suspect broke a window to gain entry while the other stayed outside as a lookout. When the first officers arrived on scene the suspects fled on foot, jumping over fences and running through yards. Officers gave chase and quickly apprehended the first suspect. Officers caught the second suspect shortly thereafter several blocks from the crime scene. On-scene patrol supervisors said the quick apprehension of both suspects was due to patrol officers’ rapid response and good tactics. One suspect, an 18-year-old male, was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary. The other suspect, a 14-year-old male, was booked into the Youth Service Center for Investigation of Burglary.
