On December 23rd at about 7:20 P.M., Seattle Fire Department requested SPD units for traffic control while they dealt with a fire in the 500 block of 3rd Ave West.
At about 7:55 P.M., officers were called back to the location by the building manager, who’d spoken with some other residents and had determined that the fire had possibly been intentionally set by the resident of the unit in which the fire had occurred. It was also reported that the resident had made threats to burn down the building. She was taken into custody for Investigation of Arson, and she was booked into the King County Jail.
The Arson and Bomb Squad responded along with the Fire Marshall.
