On 3/15/09 at approx. 2:49 a.m., two victims in the 5000 block of 20th NE, phoned 911 to report that a subject at a party two houses down from theirs had fired a gun in the air and pointed it at them.Officers responded to the reported “shots fired” call and contacted the complainants/victims. They reported that a suspect had fired a gun in the air and pointed it at them after they had exchanged discourteous words with each other. They also reported that the suspect was associated with a nearby house, which had a large party in progress. Upon contacting the occupants of the nearby party house, officers discovered none of the four occupants matched the suspect’s description. Officers were also unable to locate the vehicle that the victim’s reported was also associated with the suspect.
The suspect was never located or identified.Three UWPD officers responded and assisted with traffic control.
-All of the participants in this incident were intoxicated.
