On April 7th at approximately 9:30 p.m., South Precinct officers responded to a call in the 4500 Block of 15th Avenue South to investigate a serious felony assault. The officers were told that the ex-boyfriend of the female victim came over to the home and the suspect and victim got into a verbal confrontation that turned violent. The suspect cut the victim with a broken bottle. The victim’s mother tried to intervene, and she was also cut by the suspect. Both victims were transported to Harborview Medical Center. The suspect had driven to Bellevue, where he later surrended to Bellevue Police without incident. The 45 year-old male suspect was later booked into the King County Jail on two counts of Investigation of Domestic Violence Assault. SPD’s Domestic Violence Unit is handling the follow up investigation.
