Woman hit, robbed of her beer downtown, suspect arrested

On April 22, at approximately 9:30 PM, West Precinct officers responded to a call of a strong arm robbery in the 1900 Block of Boren Avenue.  A 53 year old female and a 52 year old male were sitting outside the doors of a building drinking a beer when the 41 year old suspect approached and asked for a drink from her beer.  The victim told the suspect no.  The suspect then shoved the victim hard against the wall causing the back of her head to strike the wall.  The suspect then struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and took the beer from her hand and left the area.  Officers arrived in the area and contacted the suspect in the alley just south of the location where it occurred.  The 41 year old male was arrested for Investigation of Robbery and later booked into the King County Jail.  The victim had pain to her head but declined medical attention.
