On 5/7/10, at approximately 1:20 a.m., officers responded to a reported home invasion robbery in the 1600 block of Summit Ave. The tenant reported that two males pushed their way into his unit, assaulted him, and took his safe.
He explained that the suspects had buzzed the intercom, and he had allowed them into the building because he thought some friends had stopped by unannounced.
When he opened the door to his unit, the suspects pushed their way in. One of the men grabbed him in a choke hold, and he passed out. When he regained consciousness, his safe was gone. He commented that it appeared that the men knew exactly what they were loooking for and where to find it.
The victim was only able to describe the suspects as 2 black males. He suspected that they might be involved with a subject he had been buying marijuana from.
The victim was examined by Seattle Fire Department personnel at the scene, but he was not transported. The responding officers did not find the suspects in the area.
