On May 7th at approximately 9:02 p.m. officers were dispatched to a call of a stabbing in the 300 block of Bell Street. Officers arrived and contacted the victim who had a slash wound to his throat. The injury was later determined to be non-life-threatening.
The victim provided a general description of the suspect but would not provide much information about what led to the assault. Witnesses told officers that the victim and suspect had been in a heated argument, during which the suspect was armed with a knife. At one point, the suspect slashed at the victim cutting him in the throat.
It is unknown whether the victim and suspect knew each other, but given the location and the uncooperative demeanor of the victim, it appears that this was some type of drug related incident.
