Man arrested for groping a woman

On 5/13/10, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a call of a male who had just groped a female at a Hotel in the 1400 block of 6th Ave.

The victim reported that she had been standing at the front desk of the hotel, when an unknown Asian male walked up to her and put his arm around her shoulders.

He then reportedly said to her, “Hey, baby” and ran his hand down her back to her backside, which he grabbed.  He then reportedly reached between her legs and groped her.

The victim reacted by pushing him away, slapping him in the face and punching him.  She became flustered, turned away briefly and when she turned back around, the male was gone.

Hotel security followed the male and pointed him out to officers in the area.  He was detained, positively identified and arrested.

The suspect was highly intoxicated and initially tried to tell officers that he thought the victim was his girlfriend.  He initially said that his girlfriend was staying with him at the hotel, but when asked where she was, admitted that he did not have a girlfriend, and that he lived at home with his mother.

The suspect was booked into King Count Jail for Indecent Liberties.
