On September 26th at approximately 1:36 a.m. an Infiniti passenger car occupied by the driver and four passengers was traveling southbound on the Alaskan Way Viaduct. As the driver approached South Lander Street the vehicle left the roadway striking the guard rail and a light pole. The vehicle continued to travel southbound off the roadway and overturned several times before it came to rest on the roof.
Two passengers were ejected and one passenger’s arm was pinned under the vehicle. SFD medics responded to the scene and subsequently transported all four of the passengers to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of responding officers. An area search for the suspect/driver was negative and he remains at large. Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.
