Home invasion robbery in South Seattle

On June 9th, at approximately 2:20 AM, South Precinct officers responded to a home invasion robbery in the 9600 Block of 54 Avenue South.  Officers arrived and found that two separate residences had been robbed.  Officers spoke to both victims and determined that two black males, wearing masks and armed with handguns, kicked in the door and the first residence and confronted the sleeping homeowner.  The suspects beat and tied up the resident, and then proceeded to ransack the house.  According to the victim, it was clear that the suspects were looking for something very specific.  The suspects took items from this home.  The suspects then fled and the victim was able to untie himself and crawl out a window.

The suspects fled to a neighboring house where they smashed in a window, opened the front door and confronted that homeowner with their guns.  This particular residence had medical marijuana inside.  The suspects, now without their masks, took items from this home as well and then fled in a tan car.  This victim was not injured during the robbery. CSI and Robbery detectives responded to the scene to conduct their follow up investigation.  The suspects are described as two black males, approximately 25 years old, both 5-10, medium build.  Anyone with any information on this incident is urged to contact the Seattle Police Department’s Robbery Unit at (206) 684-5535.
