Man shot in leg in South Seattle

On November 24th, at approximately 5:26 am, 911 recevied a call from a man stating that he had been shot in the leg at his camp site under the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Airport Way South and South Horton Street.  The victim went on to say that two male suspects came to his tent and asked him for some marijuana.  He stated that he did not have any and then was shot in the leg.  The victim told operators that the two suspects fled on foot northbound.

Officers arrived and met the 39 year old  victim walking toward Airport Way South.  The victim did have a gunshot wound to his right thigh.  He was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.  Officers did locate one shell casing at the scene.  Officers conducted an area check for the suspects but did not locate them.  The victim’s injury is not considered to be life-threatening.
