On December 3rd, just after 1:00 am, a large group of people were in the parking lot of a club in the 4500 Block of 8th Avenue NE. They were described by witnesses as being very loud, obnoxious, and intoxicated, trying to start a fight. A male had just left a nearby house party and walked past the group. After a brief verbal exchange, one member of the group began to physically assault the victim. The victim fell to the ground, striking his head on the pavement hard enough to cause seizures. While the victim was seizing, suspects continued to kick the victim and then went through his pockets, taking his wallet and other belongings. The suspects fled the scene in two or three separate cars. Officers responded and conducted a search, but did not locate the suspects.
Seattle Fire responded and stabilized the victim at the scene before transporting him to Harborview Medical Center. It does not appear that the injuries are life-threatening. Officers did recover the victim’s wallet a short distance away. If anyone has any information on this incident, they are asked to contact the Seattle Police.
