On December 24th at approximately 11:38 p.m. the adult male victim was walking to his residence. Near 1st Avenue and Blanchard Street a female suspect approached him and started to assault him. She struck him on his left cheek with an unknown object causing a laceration. The victim was dazed from the strike and fell to the ground. The suspect went through his pockets and stole his cash. The suspect fled the scene on foot and was gone upon the arrival of responding officers.
SFD medics were called to the scene to treat the victim’s injury. They recommended that the victim go to the hospital for follow up treatment but the victim declined further medical assistance.
Officers conducted an area check for the suspect, described as a heavy-set black female wearing blue jeans, however, the suspect remains at large.
