On January 1st, 2012 at approximately 5:00 a.m. officers responded to a report of a man climbing over the fence to a construction site at the southwest corner 15th Avenue and East Pine Street. The suspect was reported to be smashing windows and/or other pieces of construction equipment at the site.
Responding officers located the suspect inside the fenced property and arrested him. Further investigation indicated that the suspect had smashed the glass and possibly damaged other areas of at least two large excavation vehicles being used at the site. Estimated damage was in excess of $1,000.00.
The 23-year-old male suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary and Investigation of Malicious Mischief.
