On January 1st, 2012 at approximately 3:25 a.m. a woman (the suspect) called 911 to report that there was an undercover officer “down” inside a residence in the 4300 block of 7th Avenue NE and that she had seen a gun. Multiple officers arrived on scene to investigate and cleared the residence in question. No one was found inside.
This same woman had placed a previous 911 call approximately 25 minutes earlier saying her boyfriend had gone into the above listed residence with another male who had a gun. The caller was concerned about her boyfriend because he had not come back out after 30 minutes. This previous call was broadcast over police radio but had not been investigated yet due to the high call volume.
The 48-year-old female suspect was arrested for False Reporting to 911.
