Officers were called to a Belltown apartment building last night after a tenant claimed he “attacked without reason” by a man on the street.
When officers arrived at the apartment building—on 1st Avenue and Blanchard Street—around midnight, they found the victim with a golf ball-sized bloodstain on his shirt, and a superficial stab wound to his chest.
The victim, who was very intoxicated, had trouble giving officers much information about the incident, but said he’d been stabbed near 1st Avenue and Stewart Street by a 27-year-old Asian man with blonde hair, who was armed with an eight-inch knife.
Medics arrived and treated the victim, but determined his injuries were not severe enough to require a trip to the hospital.
The man then promised officers he would stay inside for the rest of the night for his own safety.
Officers searched the neighborhood but were unable to find the suspect or anyone who had witnessed the incident.
