Two burglars were foiled early this morning when employees from the Water Department saw them breaking into a deli in the 2700 Block of Airport Way South. Around 4:20 this morning, the witnesses called 911 to report that a male and a female were breaking into the store. Officers arrived quickly and located the 45 year old female a short distance away. The male fled, running into the wooded area underneath I-5. He was apprehended when a K-9 team located him hiding in the woods. The witnesses positively identified both the suspects.
Officers recovered several items that were taken from inside the store from one of the suspects. The woman and the 29 year old male were arrested and later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary.
