Large fight disturbance leads to shots fired

People scattered when someone in the crowd cranked off multiple shots.  This morning, during bar closing, patrol officers working anti-violence emphasis patrols in the area of 1st Av and Blanchard St were on foot monitoring the bar scene when they were notified of a fight in the parking lot on the east side of 2100 1 Av.

As they arrived they saw a large fight disturbance in progress.  Someone in the crowd fired shots and the crowd scattered.  The officers saw several suspects get into a parked vehicle in the lot.  They initiated a high-risk stop on the car and took 6 people into custody.  Witnesses pointed out one of the occupants of the car as the shooter.  The vehicle was impounded with a hold for the Gang Unit.  No injuries were reported and no property damage was located.

The suspect, a 21-year-old man, was arrested and booked into King County Jail for Weapons violations.
