A man who stole a bottle of wine from a Safeway in North Seattle last night didn’t get far.
On February 23rd at approximately 10:46 p.m. the adult male suspect entered the Safeway store located in the 12300 block of 15th Avenue NE and stole a $55.00 bottle of wine. When security officers attempted to detain the suspect in the store parking lot he attacked them.
As responding Seattle Police officers arrived on the scene they saw the security officers on the ground struggling to maintain control of the suspect. The Seattle Police officers were able to quickly gain control of the suspect and place him under arrest.
The suspect was subsequently booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
