World’s Worst Person Steals Four-Year-Old’s Wheelchair

UPDATE:
The wheelchair has been recovered after the family put up fliers in their neighborhood. Someone either found the chair or decided to bring it back. They made an anonymous call after returning the chair to the family’s backyard.

Seattle police were called to a home in the 1700 block of 13th Avenue S. Saturday morning after a mother called 911 to report that someone had stolen her four-year-old daughter’s wheelchair in the middle of the night.

At the home, the mother told officers the family had last seen the wheelchair—which is black and has stroller-style handlebars and a handbrake—at 2 AM that morning, after they left it at the bottom of the stairs outside their home.

The mother told officers the wheelchair was built to the specific measurements for their four-year-old daughter, and said she had no idea why anyone would steal it.
