Man pushed to the ground and attacked in South Seattle. On 3/29/14, just shortly after 9:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a man down near 57th Av S and S. Bangor St. Officers arrived and contacted the victim. He stated that the suspects had pushed him to the ground and tried to rob him. However, they did not take anything.
The victim stated that he was walking home when three males came up behind him, pushed him to the ground and started kicking/punching him. People in passing vehicles came upon the scene and the suspects fled east on Bangor.
One of the suspects veered across the roadway and was struck by a passing vehicle. He limped and collapsed on the sidewalk, but was soon picked up by another male and carried from the scene. An area check for the suspects was negative.
The victim sustained a contusion on his forehead and a swollen eye. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center via AMR.
The suspects are described as three black males.
