Detectives are searching for a robbery suspect after he walked into a store in downtown and pulled off a jewelry heist.
The suspect walked into a store in the 500 block of Pine St. at 10:50 a.m. Thursday and went straight to the jewelry department. He asked to see few pieces including a one-of-a-kind yellow-diamond ring. The suspect displayed a handgun and told the sales associate that he was going to take the jewelry. The suspect walked out of the store and hopped onto a waiting bicycle and peddled out of the area.
Officers flooded the surrounding blocks but were unable to find the suspect.
The suspect made off with several pieces jewelry totaling $25,000. Most Items will have “Bony Levy” stamped on them.
Detectives are now asking for your help in identifying the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male in his late thirties. He has a distinctive tattoo in the webbing of his hand of three parallel lines.
