Detectives are investigating after a man with a gunshot wound walked into a restaurant on Rainier Avenue late Thursday morning.
The manager of a restaurant in the 2700 block of Rainier Avenue S. called police at 11:20 AM and said someone had been shot. When officers arrived, they found the victim, who had been shot once in the leg. Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses told officers a hispanic man in his 20’s had approached the victim outside the restaurant before opening fire. The suspect then sped off in a dark colored car.
Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives are following up on several leads in the case and are still collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. If you have any information about this incident, please call (206) 625-5011 and ask to speak with an officer.
