Police arrested a man early Sunday after he got into a fight outside a Belltown restaurant and fired a gun.
A group of people told police they were leaving a restaurant about 3 AM near 1st Avenue and Blanchard Street when the suspect approached and asked if they wanted to buy drugs. He also asked if they needed a gun and showed them a semi-automatic pistol.
The group felt threatened and one man in the group tried to take the gun away from the suspect. The gun went off when the two men were wrestling for control of the weapon. No one was injured.
Police arrested the suspect and booked him into King County Jail for a felony investigation of assault. He also had three outstanding Seattle municipal warrants for his arrest.
