Detectives are investigating after a man was struck while crossing the street at Airport Way S. and S. Holgate St. at 9:30 this morning.
A 39-year-old man was crossing S. Holgate St. when a truck, driven by a 70-year-old man, hit him. Seattle Fire Department medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center where he is undergoing treatment for head injuries sustained in the crash.
Seattle Police drug recognition experts tested the driver of the truck and found no signs of impairment. Traffic collision investigators are now trying to determine what led up to the collision.
