Serious Injury Collision Investigation in West Seattle, Driver Arrested

Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) are conducting the investigation from this morning’s two vehicle injury collision in West Seattle.

On Wednesday, December 26th, at 7:50 am a 33-year-old woman was driving northbound in the 6700 block of Sylvan Way SW.  Her vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the front of an oncoming pickup truck, driven by a 38-year-old male.  The male driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.  A passenger in the female driver’s vehicle suffered what appeared to be life threatening injuries.  The female driver sustained serious injuries in the collision, and showed signs of impairment.  The female driver required hospitalization and is expected to be booked into the King County Jail for investigation of vehicular assault when she is released from the hospital.

TCIS detectives responded to the scene and conducted a full scene investigation.  The roadway was reopened at approximately 11:30 am.  This remains an active and on-going investigation.
