A suspect is in custody following an argument and a stabbing that sent the victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, at approximately 9:50 pm, North Precinct officers responded to a possible disturbance in front of a residence in the 9700 block of Densmore Avenue North. As officers were responding, the call was updated to indicate that a male had been stabbed. Officers arrived, along with Seattle Fire, and located the 21-year-old victim, who had been stabbed in the chest. Seattle Fire treated the victim and then transported him to Harborview Medical Center.
Witnesses were able to provide a suspect name and description to officers, and officers located the suspect several blocks away at a business. The 20-year-old suspect was taken into custody without incident. He was later booked into the King County Jail for felony assault.
Detectives will conduct the follow-up investigation.
