Young Adult Struck By Gunfire At North Seattle House Party

Detectives are investigating after a 18-year-old man was hit by gunfire at a Roosevelt/Ravenna house party early Sunday morning. The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Witnesses began calling 911 just after midnight Sunday to report shots fired at a house party in the 8000 block of 17 Avenue NE.

Officers arrived within moments and saw a large crowd of people fleeing the home, but were initially unable to locate any victims. As officers were searching for the victim and the shooter, dispatchers received a call that the victim had arrived at a local hospital with a non life threatening gunshot wound.

Officers interviewed witnesses who told them that during the party, a fight broke out, during which the suspect began firing a handgun. Witnesses said the victim who taken to a local hospital by his friends.
