A patrol officer arrested a 44-year-old woman early this morning after spotting her chasing a cab driver across a Beacon Hill street, just moments after she stabbed the driver with a pair of scissors.
Officer Ilya Ivanov was on patrol in the 1300 block of Beacon Avenue South at 12:30 AM Monday when he spotted a taxi cab with its hazard lights on and a woman chasing a man across the street.
The officer stopped his vehicle and contacted the 44-year-old cab driver, who said he had just been stabbed by his passenger. The 44-year-old woman reportedly pulled out a pair of scissors and stabbed the driver in the shoulder shortly after he’d pulled his cab over to drop her off. The driver said he then exited the car, just as the officer arrived on scene.
Seattle Fire Department medics treated and released the victim at the scene.
Officer Ivanov placed the woman under arrest and booked her into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
